How to Pay with a Debit or Credit Card

Paypal allows you to pay with a debit or credit card in most regions without having to have or having to create an account.

Why we Use PayPal as Our Payment Gateway

The reason we use PayPal as our payment gateway is because

  1. It is secure
  2. They have upto date and common-sense information and privacy policies in all regions
  3. They are more heavily regulated than some of the other payment gateways simply due to their size.

We keep looking into alternatives, and keep arriving at the same conclusion: compared to PayPal, the alternatives are not as secure for holding customer payment information.

How to Pay with a Debit or Credit Card

When you arrive at the PayPal payment screen, the following screen will appear with two choices. The second choice of paying with a card will be named either “Pay with Debit or Credit Card” or simply “Pay with a Card” dependent on your region.

If you are logged into PayPal with an account already, you will have to log out first before these options appear. Please note that if you have a PayPal account, you must use a different email to your PayPal account email for you to be able to check out as a guest.

Once you select “Pay with a Debit or Credit Card”, you will be taken to the following screen. In the US, you can check out without any further hassle.

However, in some regions, you may need to disable the “Save Information and Create Your PayPal account” option.

Once this option is disabled, the button at the very bottom will change to “Continue as Guest”. You can check out with a credit or debit card normally.
